Kyle is a composer, songwriter, and producer raised between New York and Connecticut. After a fateful introduction to the trombone in elementary band, there was no turning back. Upon her father’s urging, she took up the guitar and started writing songs. She hopped on the YouTube train in her early teen years to cover songs, she picked up the ukulele for a school play, joined a bluegrass band and learned the mandolin, and slowly began to arrange for jazz band. Kyle left the woods of Connecticut, trombone in hand, for the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami to study music composition & audio production. While at Miami, she served as the president of the Society of Composers and would return to her homeland during the summers to work as a licensing intern at Zync Music and a composition intern at Mophonics Music + Sound. Graduating in May 2017, Kyle landed in DC, working as a freelance composer for short films and a number of music catalogues and as a mixing engineer for an after school music program. She released her first EP as a songwriter and producer, Good Mood, in January 2018 and when she’s not at the office, can be found singing her tunes around town.
