    Partner, Head of Audio Post

    A partner in Flavorlab, Brian heads up the audio post division of the company as its Head Engineer. He has over 11 years of experience in the business, both mixing and composing, and his work can be heard on virtually every network and in movie theatres nationwide. His mixes have garnered many awards and his credits read like an encyclopedia of multimedia. Brian is a member of the Cinema Audio Society

    Erik Blicker began studying guitar at the age of 11 and began teaching music at age 16. He opened a teaching studio and music store at age 18. After receiving his bachelor’s in music from the University of Miami he would go on to earn his Master’s Degree from Aaron Copeland School of Music at Queens College studying with Jazz great Jimmy Heath. Blicker began scoring for small film and TV projects and playing in New York City bands, which paved the way for larger scale projects. He founded G&E Music in 1997 with his musical collaborator Glenn Schloss and began a run of TV series scoring projects which included, VH1’s Top 100 shows, Extreme History with Roger Daltry, and ESPN’s Sports Center. These projects would lead to films scores by Blicker and Schloss such as “The Nine Lives of Marion Barry” for HBO. Currently, with over 75 projects to his name, Blicker has firmly established himself as a strong voice in the world of TV and film scoring. Founding Flavorlab with partners Brian Quill and Glenn Schloss in 2004 has lead to a number of complete audio packages for TV, Film and the internet. He is also a Protools master, audio mixing fanatic, and Macintosh guru. He takes most pride in his family and is grateful for and inspired by his parents Fred and Jeanne, his wife Jennifer, son Ryan and daughter Ella.

    Glenn Schloss

    Glenn Schloss

    A Flavorlab co-founder, Glenn Schloss leads and oversees business development and client management for the company.  As part of this work, Glenn creates and manages partnerships with broadcast networks, editing and post production facilities as well as a diverse spectrum of audio and video specialists.   Glenn has a strong record of building trusted, mutually beneficial relationships that enable Flavorlab to deliver impactful and inspiring mix and sound design services to our clients.

    Glenn is also a Co Founder of Flavorlab Score, the original music and sonic branding division of Flavorlab.  A performer, producer, drummer, keyboard player, remixer, Glenn developed his musical skills in New York, where he grew up consumed by a diverse collection of latin jazz, new wave, disco and rock music.  Outside of work, Glenn’s other passion in life is spending time with his family, Elena, Trey, Billie, Levi and Otis.

    Catherine Anderson

    Raised on a steady diet of the Ramones and Seinfeld, Catherine is no stranger to the entertainment industry. She spent her high school years recording bands in her basement, including her own music as a singer-songwriter. In 2010, she moved to the NYC to pursue an education in the recording industry at NYU’s Music Technology program. Since graduating, Catherine has cultivated her passion for music and film as a member of the Flavorlab team and as a freelance mix engineer and producer. When she’s not working in the studio, you can find her playing keytar in the New York-based rock band, Robot Princess.

    Dennis Dembeck

    Dennis hails from Detroit, Michigan where he developed an early interest in music, learning many different instruments spanning from guitar to accordion. He went on to study Sound Design for Film and Video at Grand Valley State University where he built a reputation composing musical scores across many different genres. He has also spent time constructing his own experimental instruments and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Music Technology at NYU. Outside of the studio Dennis enjoys spending time outdoors and always looks forward to his next camping trip in northern Michigan. He is also an avid tennis player and loves to eat, which he hopes will one day land him a side gig as a professional food critic.

    Joining the Flavorlab team in January 2011 as an engineering assistant, Bumi has since risen through the company to become a mixing engineer and is a valuable can do kind of guy. Bumi has received mixing and sound design credits covering a wide variety of work, ranging from full feature films, shorts, and pilots, to promos, and commercials

    Whenever possible, Bumi listens to the compelling sounds of soul, funk and hip-hop but is always on the prowl to discover new music. He also plays the piano, guitar, and dabbles at the cello.

    Matthew Block

    Director of Music Licensing, Composer

    Matt Block is a composer, music supervisor and trumpeter. Originally from Philadelphia, his initial passion for music was sparked by his grandfather who introduced him to the trumpet and jazz at a young age. He’s been playing ever since, and he went on to pursue a Bachelors of Music at Brown University. Currently, he is scoring a few indie films and a web series and has a number of projects in the works with artists that he grew up with in Philly.

    At Flavorlab, Matt heads up the Producer’s Toolbox and Flavorlab Records catalogs and serves as the in-house music supervisor. Outside of Flavorlab, some of Matt’s hobbies include hiking, collecting Henry Mancini records and rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles…maybe a bit too much.

    Creative Business Development

    Josh Johnson grew up in North Jersey. His passion for music began on the drums, looking up to his uncle who played in multiple bands in the NJ area in the 90’s. He switched to guitar when his mother and father both accidentally got him a guitar the same year for Christmas (he still has both). He’s been an audio head ever since, but took a position on the business side after he graduated with a degree in electronic media and audio production from Towson University. After working at multiple big labels doing public relations, he connected with the Flavorlab team and was offered to help with business development and client relations. Josh networks with production clientele from all over the country, helping them save time and money by connecting with the Flavorlab team. Outside of Flavorlab, Josh spends his time playing around on Logic Pro, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors.

Our facility is fully tested and ready to record via ISDN. Our Phone Patch service lets you supervise a session from the comfort of your own home or from across the country.
